I have been actively engaged in the medical device industry for 23 years. My experience has involved various areas of medical device marketing such as medical education, sales, field marketing, market development, product management, leadership, and personnel management. My corporate exposure also ranges from start-up to Fortune 500 organizations.
Over the years I have launched many new devices in laparoscopy, distal extremities, and spine while managing product portfolios as large as $170M. My expertise and passion for the industry are based on my love of technology and providing solutions to patients to help improve their lives. It is quite an exciting time, as we are at the intersection of business, technology, and medicine. The result of this intersection will create innovations that will propel healthcare and improve patient health. Innovations in the areas of digital health, robotics, 3D printing, and many others, will create new opportunities and challenges. Opportunities and challenges that will require a new and unique skill set to help organizations navigate this new world of medical technologies.
Thus, my experience and educational pursuits will be valuable assets in this exciting world of emerging medical technology. By incorporating my doctoral learnings in engaged scholarship, I can provide research-based methodologies to address the complexities of developing and marketing innovation in the healthcare industry. My Doctor of Business Administration degree was obtained at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA with distinguished recognition via membership in Beta Gamma Sigma (international business honor society).
